The big Cognac houses offer guided tours revealing how stills work and more about the production processes. They conclude with a tasting, and reservations are strongly recommended during the holiday season. Several offer tailor-made visits, and all have English speaking guides.

Guided visits from May to September: Mondays 2pm-6pm; Tuesday-Saturday 10.30am-12.30pm and 2pm-6pm.

Tour times: 11am / 2pm / 3pm / 4pm / 5pm.

Also available are interactive ‘Discover’ workshops which include a tasting, and the two-hour ‘Master Blender’ workshops to mix your own XO cognac.

Rémy Martin

Rémy Martin’s ‘Rendez-vous’ visits won the national Wine Tourism prize in 2012.

Tour the Rémy Martin estate at Merpins on their dedicated train. From mid-April to end-September, Monday to Saturday. Longer, private tours are available on reservation.
