So what's in store for June July?

In Snippets, we have two great giveaways - just fill in our survey to have the chance of winning some of the 20 tickets to Futuroscope up for grabs, or celebrate the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare with front row tickets to Antic Disposition's production of 'The Comedy of Errors'.

Our cover feature is the glorious Vieux Port at La Rochelle. We look at its history and show you what not to miss. PLUS this article is in French too so you can share with your French neighbour or brush up your vocabulary. Don't forget to try out our offer of a month's FREE online French lessons with partner Frantastique.

With the Saint-Clémentin Litfest coming up, we have an exclusive interview with leading poet Lemn Sissay who is looking forward to visiting and reading his work.

We head into the Dordogne to visit charming Bordeilles, tucked beside Brantôme and home to not one chateau but two.

We welcome new columnist Susan Hays from Our French Oasis, mother to five she is the perfect person to share the delights of bringing up children in this region of France. Meanwhile Alan Coxon discovers delicious Périgord strawberries and NIkki Legon gives us entertaining inspiration for summer evenings. Ron delves into the world of the coarse fisherman before Roger suggests his top summer festivals and Sandie gives us some books not to miss.

Finally, we say a very sad goodbye to Trevor Bridge. After seven years of writing gardening features for Living Magazine, it is time to put away his pen and concentrate on his painting, bee-keeping and wonderful garden. We thank him for all his hard work and  wish him a very happy retirement! Of course, you can still read many of his wonderful articles right here.

We can only bring you Living Magazine for free with the help of our amazing advertisers so do please use them and tell them you saw them here!
